Mr. Robert Dale Cooley, 72, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, June 9, 2025, at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, March 1, 1953, to the late George and Ruthie Cooley. He retired as an Electrician at Laurel Machine and Foundry Company. Mr. Cooley is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred "Midge" Cooley; parents, George and Ruthie Cooley; six brothers, Paul Cooley, George Cooley, Jr., Gaston Cooley, Grady Cooley, Euber Cooley, and Buford Cooley; five sisters, Zettie Vee Brewer, Bonnie Smith, Geneva Langhauser, Mattie Ruth Cooley, and Lucille Dykes. He is survived by two sons, Shannon Cooley (Daphne) and Toby Cooley (Kerry); two grandsons, Brantley Cooley and Jayden Cooley, all of Clara, MS; sister, Gladys Hinton of Myrick, MS; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Cooley will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Drew Holifield and Rev. Evan Freeman officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
