Mrs. Rhonda Carol McCarty, 58, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, May 25, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, December 18, 1967, to the late James Franklin Walley and Connie Cecile Walley. She was a member of Clara First Church of God. Rhonda will always be remembered by her family as a hard worker and a wonderful Mamie. She enjoyed being outdoors, playing with her grand babies, and keeping everyone straight.

   Mrs. McCarty is preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin Walley and Connie Cecile Walley; sister, Pam Walley. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, William Jeffery McCarty; son, Chadd McCarty (Natasha); two daughters, LaTonia McLaughlin (Matt), all of Waynesboro, MS and Tiffany Mosley (Zach) of Buckatunna, MS; brother, James Mitchell Walley (Susan) of Auburn, AL; sister, Wanda Cone of Richton, MS; grandchildren, Ryder McCarty, Ramsie McCarty, Tate McCarty, Laynee Mosley, Daycie Mosley, Chadley McCarty, Molly Mosley, Easton McLaughlin, and Avie McLaughlin; a host of nieces and nephews.

   Visitation for Mrs. McCarty will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 29, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Steve Smith and Rev. Chris Cooper officiating. Interment will be in Willie McCarty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
