Mr. Raymond E. Ward, 90, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Russellville, AL on Tuesday, May 9, 1933 to Lula Ward. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He retired as owner and operator of his Auto Body Shop. Mr. Ward is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lula Parker; two sons, Michael Ward, Ray Ward. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jean Ward; two sons, David Ward (Melissa), Lee Ward, all of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Julie West (Jack) of Freeport, TX; nine grandchildren, Adam Ward, Brian Ward, Tonya Cross (Jay), Brianna Ward, Jenni Giuliano (Micheal), Alyssa Davis, P. J. Hall, Michael Noble, Mellissa Hall; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation for Mr. Ward will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, June 2, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM with a lie-in-state from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Liberty Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
