Opal Dyess Sanderson's Obituary

Mrs. Opal Dyess Sanderson, 103, passed from this life Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel, MS. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Wednesday, June 12, 1918 to Ben Dyess and Dura Dyess. She was a member of Isney Baptist Church. She had worked as a Seamstress at Wells Lamont. Mrs. Opal is preceded in death by her husband, Bivin William Sanderson; father, Ben Dyess and mother, Dura Dyess; son-in-law, Rev. Frank W. Tribble, Jr.; six brothers, Joseph Dyess, Paul Dyess, Lewis Dyess, Fewell Dyess, Chester Dyess, Bennie Dyess; three sisters, Laudis Strahan, Alvis Long, Bonnie Hayes. She is survived by two daughters, Sybil Tribble, Waynesboro, MS, Sandy Hunt (Bill), Waynesboro, MS; son, William Glenn Sanderson (Carol), Waynesboro, MS; 9 Grandchildren, a host of Great and Great Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Opal will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Isney Baptist Church, 1168 US Highway 84, Silas, AL. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Isney Baptist Church with Rev. David Roberson and Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating. Interment will be in Isney Cemetery.
