Mr. O. W. Walker, 92, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, January 20, 1931 to the late Bidmer and Marie Walker. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church. He was retired as a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his wife, Zola Walker; parents, Bidmer and Marie Walker; brother, James Walker; sister, Margie Walker Hartley. He is survived by his two sons, Curtis Walker (Linda) of Waynesboro, MS, John Walker (Ann) of Brandon, MS; brother, Bidmer Ray Walker (Linda) of Waynesboro, MS; three grandchildren, Tiffany Walker, Rebekah Whatley (Josh), both of Brandon, MS, Dylan Walker of Waynesboro, MS; great grandson, Walker Joe Whatley. Visitation for Mr. Walker will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Matthew Runnels and Rev. Tim Cleveland officiating. Interment will be in Willie McCarty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
