Mr. Norris Edward Coxwell, 90, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, April 26, 2024, at Southern Living Specialty Care Residency in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, November 19, 1933, to the late Daniel Hezekiah Coxwell and Trinnie Busby Coxwell. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a life-long member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He worked as a self-employed farmer. Mr. Coxwell is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Billie Jean Coxwell; parents, Daniel Hezekiah Coxwell and Trinnie Busby Coxwell; son, Dennis Edward Coxwell; three brothers, Daniel Elton Coxwell, Thomas H. Coxwell, Mervin Gene Coxwell; two sisters, Eula Mae Palmer, Marilyn Grace Stough; grandson, Daniel Shane Coxwell; great granddaughter, Ellianna Estelle-Jean Coxwell. He is survived by his two sons, Robert Coxwell (Amanda), Thomas Coxwell, both of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Norrie Williams (Terry) of State Line, MS; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Coxwell will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Terry Williams and Rev. Larry Yarber officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
