Norma Lee Shockley's Obituary

Mrs. Norma Lee Shockley, 78, of Sandersville, MS passed from this life Thursday, September 4, 2025 at her residence in Sandersville, MS. She was born in Mineral Wells, TX on Monday, October 7, 1946 to William Snell and Dovie Warton Snell. She was a member of Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. Mrs. Shockley worked as a Home Health Nurse for many years. She loved to cook for her family and was especially known for her homemade biscuits and tomato gravy, and no one ever left her table hungry. She was a mother not only to her own children but a mom to many kids. Mrs. Shockley is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Jr. Shockley; father and mother, William and Dovie Snell; four brothers; two sisters; and three great granddaughters.

She is survived by two sons, Bob Shockley of Sandersville, MS and Jimmy Shockley (Connie) of Quitman, MS; daughter, Billie Blue (David) of Mineral Wells, TX; sister, Carol Gill of Mineral Wells, TX; 14 grandchildren, Niki Barret (Morgan), Ashley Beckman (Daniel), Jeff Shockley, Brandon Shockley, Dylan Shockley (Hannah), Amber Anderson (Skylar), Cassie Hayes (Derrik), Amanda Blue, Blake Blue; and 18 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Shockley will be held at a later date in Mineral Wells, Texas.
