Mrs. Nellie Ann Evans Long, 88, of Petal, MS passed from this life Monday, August 28, 2023 at Bedford Care Center of Petal. She was born in Wayne County on Wednesday, July 17, 1935 to Cecil Grant Evans and Wilma Sara Evans. She retired as a Bookkeeper at Hattiesburg Clinic. Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter, Pamela Lynn Long, Hattiesburg, MS; two brothers, Robert Evans (Sheree), Coyt, MS, Larry Evans (Rachel), Coyt, MS; two sisters, Lois Brewer (Dorman), Sandhill, MS, Wilda Everett (Doug), Hattiesburg, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Long will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Coyt Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Bobby Walker officiating.
