(Skipper) Breese
June 11, 1932 – July 18, 2021
Mona Glen Skipper Breese of Denton, Texas passed away on July 18, 2021 at the age of 89.
Mona was born on June 11, 1932 in Clara Mississippi, to J. C. Skipper and Lucille Skipper. She had an older brother Malcolm, and has two younger sisters, Claudia Jean and Shirley Ann.
After graduating high school in Waynesboro, Mona studied business in Birmingham, and then went to Washington DC for work. There she met her future husband Bill while she was working for the Naval Department. They became engaged after dating only 3 months and were married in Waynesboro on Feb 12, 1954. Mona lived in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas during their 63 years of marriage. Mona and Bill have two sons, William David Breese, Jr of Austin, Texas and Malcolm Alan Breese of The Colony, Texas.
Mona and Bill moved from Louisiana to Odessa, TX in 1967, and lived there until 2005 when she and Bill moved to Denton, TX to be closer to their sons. Mona loved many things, but most of all spending time at home with her family. Bill passed away in December 2017 and Mona continued to live in the house they loved for as long as possible after Bill's passing.
Mona will be laid to rest in the White House cemetery next to her husband Bill.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
