Mr. Mitchell (Mike) Philpott, 76, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Sunday, February 1, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Miami, FL on Thursday, April 14, 1949, to the late Thelma Jeanette Farmer Philpott and Cecil Roland Philpott. Not long after Mike was born his family later moved to Marion County, TN where he grew up. He was a member of Waynesboro Church of Christ and the State Line Masonic Lodge# 603. He retired as a maintenance supervisor for Krystal Company. Mr. Philpott is preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Jeanette Farmer Philpott and Cecil Roland Philpott; brother, Jason Philpott. He is survived by his brother, Bradley H. Philpott of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Brenda Philpott of East Ridge, TN and Ivy J. Eddington of Jasper, TN; three nieces, Veronica Davis, Wendy Cooper, and Lieghla Philpott; nephew, Andrew Philpott; a host of great nieces, one great nephew, and one great-great nephew; life-long friend and business partner, Paul Stahle. A Graveside Service for Mr. Philpott will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS with Seth Sullivan and Rev. Thomas Cochran officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
