Mr. Mitchell Crager, 69, of Chatom, AL passed from this life Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his residence. He was born in State Line, MS on Thursday, August 9, 1956, to the late D. J. and Dean Crager. He was a member of Chicora Baptist Church. He retired as an Insulator for BE&K.

Mitchell will always be remembered for his gentle spirit and smile that would light up the room, and his unending love for his wife, his girls and grandchildren. Mitchell enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with his precious grandchildren, going on trips, and time at the river with friends and family. He also enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing, and tending to the farm.

He was a simple, hard-working man that loved with his whole heart. If you stayed around him for long, you were sure to hear a story about the grands at some point. His love for the Lord was no secret either. In everything he did he put his faith first and his family second. His memory will always be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Crager is preceded in death by his parents, D. J. and Dean Crager; two brothers, Mike Crager and Jesse L. Crager; Sister-In-Law, Chick Crager. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Michelle Crager of Chatom, AL; two daughters, Jessica Deese and Ashton Bailey, both of Waynesboro, MS; three sisters, Diane Williams (Jim) of Fruitdale, AL, Betty Vann (John), and Karen Henderson (Billy), both Chatom, AL; four grandchildren, Cole Deese, Cali Deese, Rynleigh Jordan, and Carson Bailey; two Sisters-In-Law, Debbie Crager of Chatom, AL and Delaine Dickerson of Waynesboro, MS; three children raised as his own, Mark Corey, Joe Corey, and Michelle Dees; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family from Peavey's Landing.

Visitation for Mr. Crager will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mitchell Smith, Rev. Jackie Spell, and Rev. Michael Beckwith officiating. Interment will be in New Haven Cemetery in Millry, AL. Pallbearers are Jason Crager, Elliot Crager, Quint Crager, Cole Deese, Daniel Dickerson, and Joshua Dickerson. Honorary Pallbearers are Coby Crager, Kyle Williams, Dane Vann, Donald Wayne Crager, Ronnie Crager, and all of his Peavey's Landing family.
