Mr. Michael "Mike" Newman, 63, of Pearl, MS passed from this life Thursday, September 15, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born in Chicago, IL on Sunday, January 25, 1959 to the late Merlin Joe Newman, Sr. and Jolene Newman. He worked as a Purchasing Manager at Mississippi Industries for the Blind. Mr. Newman is preceded in death by his father, Merlin Joe Newman, Sr.; mother, Jolene Newman; brother, Joe Newman, Jr.; nephew, Sgt. Eric Newman. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sandra Freeman Newman of Pearl, MS; sister-in-law, Dianne Newman of Waynesboro, MS; niece, Kimberly Del Bosco of Hoover, AL; two special friends, Ada Jordan of Clinton, MS, Gene Jordan of Brandon, MS. Visitation for Mr. Newman will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
