Mr. Michael Wayne Cochran, 70, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, July 6, 2026 in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on Saturday, January 21, 1956 to Otis Cochran and Edith Hutto Cochran. He was a member of Wayne Haven United Methodist Church. He worked at Kelley Brothers Contractors for 17 years and retired from Boots Smith Oilfield Services. Mr. Cochran is preceded in death by his father, Otis Cochran; mother, Edith Hutto Cochran; sister, Joann Robinson; granddaughter, Natalie Brynn Touchstone. He is survived by wife of 48 years, Kathy Gatlin Cochran, Clara, MS; son, Michael Seth Cochran (Megan), Waynesboro, MS; four daughters, Christl Nacole Touchstone (Joel), Laurel, MS; Traci Michelle Odom (Derick), Jana Brett Shaw (Mikey Bustin), Katilin Marie Roberson (Kyle), all of Waynesboro, MS; brother, Dennis Cochran, Waynesboro, MS; 13 grandchildren, Aniston Smith, Ashlynn Rayner, Preston Odom, Gracee Shaw, Emery Odom, Brady Shaw, Randi Kate Roberson, Calise Cochran, Wyatt Motes, Blakeli Roberson, Lydia Touchstone, Lauren Motes, Maverick Roberson; great grandchild, Parker Lynn Rayner; two nieces. A Graveside Service for Mr. Cochran will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Saxton Odom officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
