Mr. Melvin Edward Freeman, 88, of Cleveland, TN passed from this life Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Wayne County, MS on Wednesday, September 23, 1936 to Melvin Freeman and Etta Freeman. Mr. Freeman served 10 years in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Manager in Oil & Gas Production. Mr. Freeman is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Freeman; mother, Etta Freeman; two brothers, William Earl Freeman, Charles Cecil Freeman. He is survived by his wife of 65 Years, Sibyle Langley Freeman, Cleveland, TN; daughter, Sherrye Freeman Seiter, Cleveland, TN; two grandchildren, Caitlin Noel Seiter Smith (Adam Gregory Smith), Riceville, TN, Courtney Lyn Seiter Clift (Dillon Maverick Clift), Soddy Daisy, TN; sister, Allene Rigney, Waynesboro, MS. Visitation for Mr. Freeman will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, December 6, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Freeman and Rev. Ray Newsome officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Adam Smith, Dillon Clift, Alan Seiter, Jay Hutto, Bruce Langley, Patric Langley.
