Mrs. Marilyn Shoemaker, 94, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, January 8, 1929, to the late William "Bill" and Mary Langley Burgess. She retired as a seamstress at Wells Lamont Glove Factory in Waynesboro, MS. Mrs. Shoemaker is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey "Sonny" Shoemaker; parents, William "Bill" and Mary Langley Burgess; son, Johnny Louis Shoemaker; 5 brothers; 6 sisters. She is survived by her son, William "Billy" Shoemaker (Ann) of Dayton, TX; daughter, Maxine Davis (Gerald); brother, Donnie Burgess (Bonnie), both of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Billy Sue Patterson (Bill) of Shubuta, MS; grandson, Bruce Davis (Koko); 3 great granddaughters, ShalaKo Davis, Luka Davis, Iniyah Rogers, all of Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service for Mrs. Shoemaker will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Boyles Chapel Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Brad Maxcey officiating. Interment will be in Boyles Chapel Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
