Mrs. Margaret Alene Cook, 83, of Leakesville, MS passed from this life Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Greene Rural Nursing Home in Leakesville, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, October 20, 1938 to James Trigg and Eula Mae Trigg. She was a member of East Salem Baptist Church. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Alene is preceded in death by her husband, Lamonte Cook; father, James Trigg; mother, Eula Mae Trigg; sister, Shirley Pittman. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffery Cook (Connie), Meridian, MS, Stacy Cook, Leakesville, MS; brother, Jimmy Trigg (Ann), Waynesboro, MS; three grandchildren, Michelle Cook, Seattle, WA, Brandie Ricks, Meridian, MS, Joshua Cook, Leakesville, MS; great grandson, Dylan Ricks, Meridian, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Alene will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey McLendon officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
