Mrs. Mamie Pope, 68, of State Line, MS passed from this life Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Chatom, AL on Saturday, September 29, 1956, to the late Carl and Dorothy Loper. She retired as an Associate at Wal Mart in Waynesboro, MS.

Mrs. Pope is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Dorothy Loper; two brothers, Sammy Joe Loper and Kenneth Wayne Loper; two sisters, Cathy Loper and Ruby Carpenter. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Arnold Pope of State Line, MS; son, Brian Pope (Brooke Savell) of Buckatunna, MS; sister, Penny Richardson of Fruitdale, AL; two grandchildren, Courtney Beasley (Colin) of Millry, AL and Carter Pope of Waynesboro, MS; a host of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Pope will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Pope Family Cemetery in State Line, MS. Interment will be in Pope Family Cemetery in State Line, MS.
