Mr. Mack E. Taylor, 96, of Kenner, LA passed from this life Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, LA. He was born in State Line, MS on Thursday, December 13, 1928, to the late Jim and Mary E. "Lizzie" Taylor. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired as an aircraft mechanic at Eastern Airlines. Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his wife, Inez Sullivan Taylor; parents, Jim and Mary E. "Lizzie" Taylor; three brothers, Albert Taylor, Dewey Taylor, and Edgar Ray Taylor; three sisters, Flora Mae Lathan, Bobbie Jean Crager, and Geneva Tyler. He is survived by two sons, Elgy Duane Taylor, Kenner, LA and Edmund "Don" Taylor (Pat), Toxey, AL; brother, James "Jimmy" Taylor of Oregon; six grandchildren, Dr. Jeffery Taylor, Katie LeBaron, Michael Taylor, Michelle Taylor, Wendy Taylor, and Donna Williams; seven great grandchildren, Carter, Grant, Reagan, Alyssa, Addy, Ethan, and Everly; great-great granddaughter, Skye. Visitation for Mr. Taylor will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mark Guy officiating. Interment will be in Eret Baptist Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
