Mr. M. L. Pitts, Jr., 77, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, June 8, 1946, to the late Martin Leonard Pitts and Annie Merle Pitts. Through the years he worked as a furniture salesman/sales manager for several of the local Furniture Stores. Mr. Pitts is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Leonard and Annie Merle Pitts; brother, Cecil Pitts, Sr.; sister, Linda Merle Reynolds. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Sue Pitts of Waynesboro, MS; two daughters, Renee Mills (David) of Eatonton, GA, April Pitts (Jamie Heathcock) of Waynesboro, MS; granddaughter, McKynlee Stanley (A. J.) of Eatonton, GA; grandson, Luke Mills (Mattie) of Athens, GA; two great grandchildren, Grayson and Ross Stanley, both of Eatonton, GA; Brother-In-Law, Tommy Reynolds of Columbus, GA; a host of nieces and nephews. A private Memorial Service for Mr. Pitts will be held at a later date by his loving family.
