Mr. Luther Beard, Jr., 92, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, August 25, 1932, to the late Luther Beard, Sr. and Helen Beard. He was a member of Trinity First Baptist Church. He retired as an Insurance Agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company. Mr. Beard is preceded in death by his wife, Christene Beard; parents, Luther Beard, Sr. and Helen Beard; daughter, Anita Tyann Beard; brother, Lloyd David Shirley, III; sister, Melba West. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Lois Beard of Clara, MS; daughter, Karen Broadhead (Allen) of Demopolis, AL; son, LaDale Beard of Braxton, MS; sister, Inez Martin of Waynesboro, MS; three grandchildren, Brandie Davis (Dustin), Alicia Brown (Robert), and Justin Beard. Visitation for Mr. Beard will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, August 8, 2025, at Trinity First Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 8, 2025, at Trinity First Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Tom Walker officiating.
