Mr. Lonnie Ray Mills, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Wednesday, August 15, 1945 to Mr. Drewery Foster Mills and Mrs. Myrtle Dyess Mills. He was a member of Chicora Baptist Church.  He worked as a Correctional Officer for MDOC. Mr. Mills is preceded in death by his father and mother, Drewery Foster Mills and Myrtle Mills; brothers, Malcolm Mills, Scottie Mills. He is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Marry Ann Mills of Waynesboro, MS; two sons, Raymond Mills (Rita) and Malcolm Mills (Samantha) both of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Meridith Mills of North Carolina; sister, Vivian Cohen of Florida; six grandchildren, Raymond "Bo" Mills Jr., Amber Roberts, Deidra Hartley, Denise Beal, Misty Mills; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 29, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
