Mr. Lloyd Chason, 83, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at The Crossings Retirement Community in League City, TX. He was born in Buckatunna, MS on Monday, March 16, 1942, to the late Clarence Monroe Chason and Vera Copeland Chason.

   Mr. Chason was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He retired as a Certified Public Accountant from the Houston Municipal Employee Pension System in Houston, TX. He worked hard throughout his career as a CPA but always knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. He was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand, tending to his garden, building something, or sharing a good joke. Music was also an important part of his life, and he especially enjoyed singing in church. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, he loved making people laugh and rarely missed an opportunity to tell a funny story. Whether he was out on the pond, working in his garden, tackling his latest project, singing a favorite song, or spending time with his late wife, family, and friends, he found joy in the things he loved most. His quick wit, hardworking spirit, love of music, and love for life will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 

   Mr. Chason is preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Chason; parents, Clarence Monroe Chason and Vera Copeland Chason; son, Timothy Chason; sister, Sue Roan; brother, Clarence Chason; two Brothers-In-Law, A. J. Reynolds and Raymond Ward. He is survived by his son, Troy Chason (Barbara); daughter, Shelly Lindroos (Rob), all of League City, TX; two sisters, Lola Reynolds and Jean Ward, both of Waynesboro, MS; two grandchildren, Lola Lindroos and Lance Lindroos, both of League City, TX; a host of nieces and nephews.

   Visitation for Mr. Chason will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, October 9, 2026, at Liberty Baptist Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 9, 2026, at Liberty Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Phillip Gandy and Rev. Randy McLeod officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
