Mrs. Linda Ann Burgess McCaa, 65, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Friday, January 28, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro on Wednesday, September 5, 1956 to J. C. "Bud" Burgess and Pauline Guy Burgess. She was a member of Buckatunna Free Will Baptist Church. She retired after 40 years as a Secretary at First State Bank. Linda Ann's life is encapsulated by the endearing title her family gives to her story: "One Petite Person—One Magnanimous Moment"!  Anyone associated with Linda for even just a moment can attest to her caring and loving spirit naturally flowing from her heart of grace by and in her Savior!  As Philippians 1:21 so poignantly states: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain!"  "Until then..." Mrs. Linda Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy McCaa; mother, Pauline Burgess. She is survived by her father, J. C. "Bud" Burgess, Buckatunna, MS; sister, Sherry Reynolds (Larry), Meridian, MS; niece, Tiffany Griggs, Buckatunna, MS; nephew,  Matthew Reynolds (Paige), Star, MS; several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Linda Ann will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 31, 2022 with a Lie-In-State one hour prior to the Funeral Service at Buckatunna Free Will Baptist Church in Buckatunna with Dr. Larry Reynolds, Rev. Cobi Smith, and Rev. Harry Cherry officiating. Interment will be in Buckatunna Free Will Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kade Griggs, Matthew Reynolds, Canaan Hutto, Jeremy Rigney, Terry Joe Burgess, Jim Hopkins.
