Linda Sue Boykin, 81, of Robertsdale, Alabama, was called home to her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2026. Born July 14, 1944, in Waynesboro, Mississippi, Linda lived most of her life in Mobile, Alabama, where she raised her four children with strength, devotion, and unwavering faith. A born-again Christian and proud Baptist, she loved the Lord, treasured her Bible, and found joy in her faith. Early in her working life she drove a forklift at Brookley Field, but her drive to better herself never rested. She earned her GED and later graduated from Bishop State Community College with Dean's List honors, going on to build a career as a medical transcriber. But of all the roles she filled in this life, none meant more to her than being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Funny, outspoken, and a force to be reckoned with, Linda made every room brighter and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her four children, Sherry Snider and her husband Tracy, Tony Shellman, Tabitha Hinson and her husband Jason, and Linda Kay Cox and her husband Larry; her two sisters, Kay Christian and Renee Nettles; eleven grandchildren, Brandon Hardin, John Hardin, Andrew Hardin, Christina Morris, August Huhn, Hannah Hinson, William Hinson, Autumn Wimberley, Shannon Sambrano, Gabrielle Staley, and Garrett Staley; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Whitehouse Cemetery in Clara, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are welcomed.
