Mrs. Linda Lou McRae "Big Mama" Stevens, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, March 26, 1946, to the late Melvin and Laverne McRae. She was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church. She retired as a Bus Driver and Cafeteria Worker for the Wayne County School District.

Mrs. Stevens is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Laverne McRae; two brothers, David McRae and Jerry McRae; sister, Elizabeth Sims. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Billy Stevens of Waynesboro, MS; two sons, Dewayne Stevens (Vickie) of Buckatunna, MS and Daryl Stevens (Chris) of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Crystale Stevens West (Matt) of Waynesboro, MS; two brothers, Charlie McRae of Waynesboro, MS and Buddy McRae of Wilmer, AL; six grandchildren, Jonathan Stevens (Holly), Sha Page, Colby Stevens (Ashtin), Dalyn Cochran (Jared), Brooklyn West, and Jackson West; seven great grandchildren, River, Lane, Champ, Hadley, Ridge, Quinn, and Jynks; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Stevens will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 6, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Mike Street and Dr. Stephen Smith officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Jonathan Stevens, Colby Stevens, Lane Stevens, Jackson West, Tyler Williamson, and Thoye Pitts. Honorary Pallbearers are Champ Nelson and Jared Cochran.
