Mrs. Lillian Lois "Sissy" McLain, 77, of Hattiesburg, MS passed from this life Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Bedford Care Center- Monroe Hall in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born in Arkansas on Friday, April 27, 1945 to the late Hugh James and Attie Lois Bradley Cherry. She attended Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church. Mrs. McLain is preceded in death by her parents. Hugh James and Attie Lois Cherry; six brothers, Larry Cherry, Willie Edgar Cherry, E. M. Pilgrim, Bob Cherry, Ted Cherry, Ed Cherry; five sisters, Helen James, Dorothy Caletka, Bertha Carter, Eula Mae Nolden, Rubye Weber. She is survived by her son, Brian Cherry of Waynesboro, MS; three brothers, Harry Cherry, Harold Cherry both of Waynesboro, MS, Bill Cherry of North Carolina; sister, Mary Ross of Waynesboro, MS; granddaughter, Christian McMillan of Waynesboro, MS; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. McLain will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Thomas Cochran officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
