Mrs. Leal Smith McMichael, 90, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Friday, April 17, 1931, to Ephriam E. Smith and Anna V. Smith. She was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. McMichael is preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson M. McMichael; father, Ephriam E. Smith; mother, Anna V. Smith; son-in-law, Robert Fowler; daughter-in-law, Sandra McMichael; brother, Dale Smith; sister, Loise McMichael. She is survived by her two sons, Dale McMichael (Pat), Waynesboro, MS, Ed McMichael (Debra), Aquilla, AL; daughter, Diann Fowler, Auburn, AL; sister, Iola Smith, Middletown, IN; 15 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. McMichael will be held from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, Friday, October 29, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 29, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
