Mrs. Lavay F. Hutto, 88, of Chatom, AL passed from this life Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Chatom, AL on Thursday, April 19, 1934 to Willie Ferguson and Glossie Lee Ferguson. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church of Chatom. She retired as an Agent with Farmers Home Administration (FHA). Mrs. Hutto is preceded in death by her husband, William I. Hutto; father, Willie Ferguson; mother, Glossie Lee Ferguson Dennis. She is survived by her son, Derek Hutto (Susan), Waynesboro, MS; brother, Jimmy D. Ferguson (Katie), Yarbo, AL; two sisters, Patsy Amacker, Kansas City, MO, Kay Boler, Yarbo, AL; five grandchildren, Johnathan Hutto (Nora), Gilbertown, AL, Jessica Grana (Nick), Chatom, AL, Jarred Hutto (Emily), Wagarville, AL, Elliot Cassell, Waynesboro, MS, Evan Cassell (Ashley), Hattiesburg, MS; nine great grandchildren, John Derek Hutto, Carleigh Hutto, Kylie Singleton, Emma Hutto, Lallie Hutto, Briggs Chancey, Leah Chancey, Olivia Cassell, Luca Cassell. Visitation for Mrs. Hutto will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 1544 Carpenter Road, Chatom, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Griffith and Rev. Jody Smith officiating. Interment will be in Reynolds Holiness Church Cemetery, 21571 Highway 17, Chatom, AL.
