Laura Ann
(Bean) Walters
September 20, 1972 – August 23, 2022
Laura Bean Walters, age 49, entered Heaven and received eternal healing after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at her residence in Canton, GA surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tupelo, MS on Wednesday, September 20, 1972 to Edward D. Bean and Barbara Ann Bean. She was a member of Mount Paran North Church of God. Laura is survived by her husband, Kirk Walters, Canton, GA; son, Bradley Walters, Canton, GA; daughter, Lauren Walters, Canton, GA; father, Edward D. Bean; mother, Ann Bean, both of Waynesboro, MS; brother, Larry Bean (Gina), Brandon, MS; sister, Sherry Burke (Gregory), Waynesboro, MS; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ronnie Walters & Connie Walters, Brandon, MS; brother-in-law, Kevin Walters (Angie), Pascagoula, MS; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Laura grew up in a pastor's home and at an early age demonstrated an immense talent and love for music, eventually travelling and ministering with her family singing group, The Bean Family. In the late summer of 1992, she caught the eye of a young Kirk Walters. After dating for fourteen months, they married and started a family of their own. After a few years in the business world, they accepted the call to full-time ministry and in 2017 accepted an appointment to Mount Paran North Church in Marietta, GA where Kirk continues to serve as Senior Pastor.
One of Laura's deepest passions was restoring broken things. That passion was lived out in various ways, including restoring furniture, repurposing used clothing, and most significantly, restoring hurting and broken lives through ministries that help women in need. Even in the later days of her illness, Laura could be found organizing conferences and events for women, praying in the altar for those in need, and supporting various outreach partners that specialized in rescuing women. Her passion for family, helping people, and joyful personality will never be forgotten.
