Mr. Kenneth Marshall Doherty, 68, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Comfort Care Nursing Center in Laurel, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, February 10, 1955, to the late Gaines Marshall Doherty and Carolyn Duvall Doherty. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired as a Self-Employed Drilling Fluids Engineer. Mr. Doherty is preceded in death by his parents, Gaines Marshall and Carolyn Duvall Doherty; brother, Gary Gaines Doherty; sister, Carol Jean Bunch. He is survived by his son, Adam G. Doherty of Laurel, MS; daughter, Jeanie Lynn Phillips of Taylorsville, MS; four grandchildren, Jesslyn, Natalie, Tayler, Joshua; four great grandchildren, Carson, Avery, Braylon, Tyleigh; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Mr. Doherty will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Dixie Holder-Cummings and Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
