Katlyn "Kate
Kate" Luker
November 1, 2002 – May 29, 2022
Katlyn "Kate Kate" Luker, 19, of Needham, Alabama went to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 10:37 AM at the University of Alabama- Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born in Hattiesburg, MS on Friday, November 1, 2002, at 10:37 PM to Rev. Kevin and Sis. Stephanie Luker.
Katlyn worked at South Choctaw Academy's Little Rebel Land Daycare. She attended Needham Assembly of God Church.
Katlyn was full of life and loved being surrounded by her family and friends. To know her was to love her. She honestly had the most beautiful personality and that personality made her glow like an angel. From her sparkling eyes to her contagious smile, she absolutely bubbled over with joy and love. She was one of the most caring, fun loving young women you could have ever had the privilege of knowing.
This "angel" God shared with us for 19 years, touched so many lives while she walked on this earth. Katlyn truly had such an impact on so many, especially the children that she ministered to in children's church every Sunday morning. "Kate Kate" loved all the children and they all loved her. She is leaving a huge void in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Katlyn's hobbies included; cooking, cleaning, fishing, four-wheeler riding, making late night snacks with Rachel, keyboard sessions in the living room with her family, and her newest hobby was skateboarding with her "posey."
Katlyn is preceded in death by her three grandfathers, Charles "Buck" Ray, Buddy Skaggs, Rev. I. E. Luker; grandmother "Mimi", Shelia Luker; and cousin, Dillon Kraig Reid.
She is survived by her parents, Rev. Kevin and Sis. Stephanie Luker of Needham, AL; brother, Anthony Luker of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Nichole Luker Henderson (Caleb "Bub") of Clara, MS; grandmother, Patricia Skaggs of Hattiesburg, MS; nieces and nephews, Talan, Paxton, Cambree, and Caityn; best friend, Rachel Johnson; special friend, William "Will" Skinner, Jr.; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation for Katlyn will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Needham Assembly of God Church, 2645 Needham Road, Needham, AL 36915.
