Mrs. Karen Gail Cooley, 67, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, January 22, 2024 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Mobile, AL on Monday, May 7, 1956 to Silas David Hembree, Sr. and Margie Marie Hembree. She worked at Walmart as a Department Manager. Mrs. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lynn "Brownie" Cooley; father, Silas David Hembree, Sr. and mother, Margie Marie Hembree; brother, Steven Hembree. She is survived by her son, Silas "B. J." Cooley (Emily), Waynesboro, MS; daughters, Michelle Lynn Townsend (Toby), Quitman, MS, Amy West (Michael), Waynesboro, MS; brother, Silas David Hembree, Waynesboro, MS; grandchildren, John Brandon King (Madison), Amber Woods (Jacob), Hunter West, Erin West, Lily Cooley, Jayla West, Mailey Cooley; great grandchildren, Jayla Woods, Coby Woods, Rhett Woods, Stormi Woods; and a special friend, Gerry Bos. Visitation for Mrs. Karen will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will  follow at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Cooper officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery.
