Mr. Junnure E. Phelps, 84, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Picayune, MS on Monday, October 31, 1938. He served in the United States Airforce and the United States Army, and was a Veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church. He was retired as a Truck Driver for T. K. Stanley Inc. Mr. Phelps is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Phelps; Father, Sulvester Phelps; mother, Ester Phelps; 3 brothers; 8 sisters. He is survived by his son, Edwin Boyles (Debbie) of Clara, MS; 3 daughters, Cynthia Smith, Terri Musgrove, both of Waynesboro, MS, Margaret Boyles of Millry, AL; 10 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter. Visitation for Mr. Phelps will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Maynor Creek Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Marvin Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Maynor Creek Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
