Mr. Joseph A. "Joe" Beard, Sr., 71, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital Belhaven in Jackson, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, December 18, 1950 to Roland "Poley" Beard and Rowena Brewer Beard. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. He was retired from the Oil Field as a Driller. Mr. Beard is preceded in death by his father, Roland "Poley" Beard; mother, Rowena Loper; two brothers, George O. Beard, James C. Beard. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Vickie L. Beard of Waynesboro, MS; son, Joseph A. "Joe" Beard, Jr. (Shelby W.) of Buckatunna, MS; two daughters, Samantha Lyn Beard, Emily Leigh Beard both of Waynesboro, MS; raised as a daughter, Trinity Hope Herring of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Dianne B. Newman of Waynesboro, MS; Portia Shelby Franks. A Private Memorial Service will be held by the family.
