Mr. Joseph L. "Jody" Ashley, 57, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Meridian, MS on Friday, June 2, 1967, to Jimmie and Joe Ashley. He retired as Sheriff at Wayne County Sheriff Department in Wayne County, MS. Mr. Ashley is preceded in death by his father, Joe Ashley. He is survived by mother, Jimmie Ashley of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Madison Grice (Kelton) of Moselle, MS; brother, Jason Ashley (Kelli) of Purvis, MS; two grandchildren, Oakley Mae Grice and Knox Carter Grice. A Private Service for Mr. Ashley will be held by his family at a later date.
