Mr. Johnny Paul "J P" Palmer, 60, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, May 7, 2026, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, April 18, 1966, to the late David and Linda Palmer. He was a member of Harvest Temple Church. He retired as a cafeteria worker at Wayne County School District. “J P” had a great love for Wayne County football and baseball. “War Eagle”

   Mr. Palmer is survived by his loving wife 26 years, Maria Palmer; two brothers, William Palmer and Jeremy Palmer (Miranda), all of Waynesboro, MS; nieces and nephews, Tori Palmer, Dakota Smrcka, Cindy Buford, Cheyenne Stokes, Paisley Perryman, Ty Palmer, Kaden Palmer, Parker Palmer, and Kason Palmer.

   Visitation for Mr. Palmer will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, May 11, 2026, at Harvest Temple Church in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Harvest Temple Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Edward Bean, Rev. James Walley, and Rev. Rickey Williams officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
