Mr. Johnny M. Busby, 85, of Fruitdale, AL passed from this life Friday, January 9, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wayne County, MS on Thursday, April 25, 1940, to the late Viola and John O. Busby. He was a member of South Oak Grove Baptist Church. He retired as a maintenance foreman at Ciba-Geigy Corporation in McIntosh, AL. Mr. Busby is preceded in death by his parents, Viola and John O. Busby; daughter, Teresa Busby Tyler; brother, Buddy Busby; sister, Betty Wolford; granddaughter, Koen Lindsey. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marjorie "Margie" Busby; three sons, Johnny G. Busby (Cindy), Grady Busby (Penny), and Jason Busby (Sandy), all of Fruitdale, AL; two brothers, Jerry Busby (Biddy) of Caldwell, TX and Scott Busby; three sisters, Jeanne Allen of Mobile, AL, Dorothy "Dot" Long of Purvis, MS, and Schlee Carney of Findlay, OH; grandchildren, Melanie Cotton (Matt), Stephanie Davis (Craig), Todd Tyler (Jessica), Savannah Busby, Sarah Busby, Grady Busby, Jr. (Skyler), Morgan Busby, Blake Brown (James), Jaylon Busby (Kourtney), Nick Turner (Falon), Ethan Turner (Lonna), and Haleigh Tyson (Zach); great grandchildren, Luke, Adaline, Vivianne, Charlotte, Stella, Luna, Skye, Graylon, Jake, Rylee, McKenna, Jameson, Jayden, John Griffin, Greyson, Delilah, and Easton; a host of nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service for Mr. Busby will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Grace Williams Cemetery in Fruitdale, AL with Rev. Robert Kirkland, Rev. Joe Williams, and Rev. Buddy Jones officiating. Interment will be in Grace Williams Cemetery in Fruitdale, AL.
