Mr. John H. Gatlin, 91, of Shubuta, MS passed from this life Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Shubuta, MS on Friday, May 29, 1931 to the late John Sharpe Gatlin and Pauline Pitts. Mr. Gatlin served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Defense Contract Administration Service (DCAS). Mr. Gatlin is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Gatlin; father, John Sharpe Gatlin; mother, Pauline Pitts; daughter, Joselyn Gatlin. He is survived by his two sons, Carey Gatlin, Waynesboro, MS, Tony Gatlin, Shubuta, MS; brother, Tommy Gatlin, Waynesboro, MS. Visitation for Mr. Gatlin will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Clear Creek Cemetery in Shubuta, MS.
