Mr. Joe Carl Newburn, Sr., 63, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Laurel, MS on Wednesday, April 9, 1958, to Voyde Newburn, Sr. and Martha Louise Newburn. He worked as a self-employed contractor. Mr. Newburn is preceded in death by his father, Voyde Newburn, Sr.; mother, Martha Louise Newburn; great grandson, Emerson Tucker. He is survived by his son, Joe Carl Newburn, Jr. (Paula), Richlands, NC; three daughters, Shannon Newburn, Jacksonville, NC, Terri Raines (Allen), Oriental, NC, Crystal Stone (John), Havelock, NC; two brothers, Voyde Newburn, Jr. (Audra), Waynesboro, MS, Jacky Newburn, Richlands, NC; two sisters, Patricia Malone (Roger), Christy Newburn both of Waynesboro, MS; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; uncle, Tilmon Pope, Gulfport, MS. A Memorial Service for Mr. Newburn will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2021, at New Hope Methodist Church in Waynesboro, MS.
