Jettie (Mccarty) Mckee's Obituary

Mrs. Jettie McCarty McKee, 92, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Friday, September 9, 1932, to the late Velma Overstreet and James Oscar McCarty. She was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church. She retired as a seamstress at Wells Lamont. After retiring she went home to begin a second career with her loving husband, raising chickens for Marshall Durbin.

Mrs. McKee is preceded in death by her husband, George McKee; parents, Velma Overstreet and James Oscar McCarty; brother, James Floyd McCarty; two sisters, Louise Clifford and Inez Holifield. She is survived by two brothers, Travis McCarty (Jewel) and William Clifford McCarty, both of Waynesboro, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Visitation for Mrs. McKee will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Ryan Powers and Rev. Logan Overstreet officiating. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Little Rock Assembly of God Church.
