Mr. Jessie Steve Morgan, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, August 18, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pine Hill, AL on Saturday, September 19, 1942 to the late Jesse B. Morgan and Mazie Morgan. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. He was retired as an Inspector and Surveyor for Mississippi Department of Transportation. Mr. Morgan is preceded in death by his father, Jesse B. Morgan; mother, Mazie Morgan; daughter, Monica "Shelly" Ramagos; brother, Paul Morgan. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jane Murray Morgan, Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Angie Lynn Rhyne (David), Waynesboro, MS; two brothers, Warren Morgan (Susan), Seminary, MS, Larry Morgan, Citronelle, AL; sister, Dinah Coley, Pine Hill, AL; four grandchildren, Trent Ramagos (Heather), Memphis, TN, Gage Dear (Lorraine), Jacksonville, AR, Noah Loftin, Waynesboro, MS, Levi Loftin, Waynesboro, MS; four great grandchildren, Nettie Dear, Rossey Dear, Rhiannon Dear, Morag "Shelly" Ramagos. Visitation for Mr. Morgan will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Curtis Cain officiating.
