Mr. Jerry Edwin Stanley, 72, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Waynesboro on Sunday, July 31, 1949 to Oliver Wendall Stanley and Dorothy Jeanette Stanley. Mr. Stanley served in the United States Armed Forces and was a Veteran. He had worked as a Laborer in the Oilfield. Mr. Stanley is preceded in death by his father, Oliver Wendall Stanley; mother, Dorothy Jeanette Stanley; two brothers, John Paul Stanley, James Donald Stanley; two sisters, Frances Townsend, Donna Jane Crawford. He is survived by his two nieces, Lori Gardner (Brandon), Roxanna Stanley; four nephews, Brian Crawford, Steve Crawford, James Stanley, Anthony Stanley, all of Waynesboro, MS; several Great Nieces and Great Nephews; caregiver, Darlene Blackburn, Shubuta, MS. Visitation for Mr. Stanley will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, August 23, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Arrington Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Pallbearers are Brandon Gardner, Lee Gardner, Steve Ainsworth, Mike Hickson, Scott Goode, and Justin Lee.
