Mrs. Jeanne Tatum West, 64, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, June 2, 2024. She was born in Laurel, MS on Friday, October 2, 1959 to Grover C. Tatum, Jr. and Lydia Tatum. She was a member of Waynesboro Presbyterian Church. She was a School Teacher and worked for the Wayne County School District for 28 years before retiring. She was a member of the Chickasawhay Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for 35 years and was also a charter member of the Wayne County Junior Auxiliary. Mrs. Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, Gray West; father, Grover C. Tatum, Jr.; mother, Lydia Tatum; brother, Grover C. Tatum.  She is survived by her son, Marshall Wood (Emily);granddaughter, Annie Ruth Wood, all of Waynesboro, MS; three brothers, Glenn Tatum (Glenda), Waynesboro, MS, James C. Tatum (Carolyn), Brandon, MS, David H. Tatum (Ruth), Madison, AL; two sisters, Susan McMillian, Waynesboro, MS, Barbara Fleming (Bennie), Carmichael, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Jeanne will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Waynesboro Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Waynesboro Presbyterian Church with Rev. Danny Ketchum officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Kenny Odom, Gary Gore, Scott Cooley, Bubba Hathorn, Michael Flowers, Jamie Wood.
