Mr. JC Hopkins, 78, of Quitman, MS passed from this life Thursday, October 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, September 23, 1944 to the late Henry Hopkins and Estelle Beasley Hopkins. He was a member of Buckatunna Free Will Baptist Church. He was retired after working over 50 years as a Self-Employed Brick Mason. Mr. Hopkins is preceded in death by his wife, Jewel S. Hopkins; father, Henry Hopkins; mother, Estelle Hopkins; two daughters, Judy C. Hutcherson, Paula D. Hopkins; two brothers, Wilmer Hopkins, Billy Hopkins; two sisters, Ann Pittman, Betty Jean Dearmon. He is survived by his loving wife, Nelda Hopkins of Quitman, MS; son, Jamie Hopkins of Buckatunna, MS; stepson, Jonathan Prince of Quitman, MS; brother, Jim Hopkins (Zelema) of Buckatunna, MS; 7 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Hopkins will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Buckatunna Free Will Baptist Church in Buckatunna, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Buckatunna Free Will Baptist Church in Buckatunna, MS with Rev. Cobi Smith and Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will be in Buckatunna Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
