Mrs. Jane Kay Stodghill, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, December 2, 2022 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Harrisburg, PA on Sunday, December 13, 1942 to the late Rev. Tom Kay, Sr. and Jane Esther (Ramsey) Kay. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro. Mrs. Stodghill is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dr. John W. Stodghill, Sr.; parents, Rev. Tom Kay, Sr. and Jane Esther Kay. She is survived by her three sons, John Wesley Stodghill, Jr. (Karen) of Santa Elena, Cayo, Belize in Central America, Jim Stodghill (Tylia) of Burkesville, KY, Justin Benjamin Stodghill (Tonya) of Royse City, TX; two daughters, Jane Kay Sims (Jimmy) of Orange Beach, AL, Joy Esther Rancatore (Tony) of Slidell, LA; two brothers, Rev. Tom Kay, Jr. (Connie) of Aliceville, AL, Rev. John Kay (Betty) of Wilmette, IL; 13 grandchildren, John (Prisy), Josh (MJ), Sarah (Gary), Kristen, Jared (Emma), Jacob, Lindsey (John), Kristen (Dustin), Ashley, Jonathon, Jessica, Allie, and Thad; 16 great grandchildren, Isaiah, Inaya, Madison, Malachi, Josiah, Abigail, James, Abraham, Wyatt, Sawyer, Hayes, Harper, Bentley, Norah, Breckin, and Baker.

Visitation for Mrs. Stodghill will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
