Mr. James A. Palmer, 90, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on Sunday, July 5, 1931 to Houston A. Palmer and Mary Palmer Martin. He was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of Lions Club International. He also served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked as Owner/Operator at Palmer Veneer. Mr. Palmer is preceded in death by his wife, Jan Palmer; father, Houston A. Palmer; mother, Mary Palmer Martin; four brothers, Harold Palmer, Ray Palmer, Don Palmer, Virgil Palmer; three sisters, Shirley Whittington, Jan Sanoff, Sandra Hopton; grandson, Joseph Tiner. He is survived by his son, James D. Palmer (Vicki), Waynesboro, MS; three daughters, Diana Jordan (Thomas), Waynesboro, MS, Patty Griffith (Bruce), Mobile, AL, Kay Alexander, Waynesboro, MS; brother, Morgan "Tom" Palmer (Virginia), Waynesboro, MS; seven grandchildren, Daniel Jordan (Dana), Brian Jordan (Kristin), Renee Price (Reo), Sean Pierce (Alisha), Christy Allen (Bryan), Michael Palmer (Stacy), Joshua Palmer (Brandi); 20 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; special friend, Christine McKee. Visitation for Mr. Palmer will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church, 485 Old Highway 84 Road, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Gandy, Rev. Dwight Smith, and Rev. Randy McLeod officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery.
