Mr. James Troy "Jimmy" Hinton, 76, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, May 27, 2021 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, October 29, 1944 to Grover Cleveland Hinton and Lucile Collins Hinton. He was a member of Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church where he served as a Deacon for 41 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Jimmy served in the United States National Guard. He retired after working 36 years as a Masonex Operator at Masonite in Laurel, MS. Mr. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland Hinton and Lucile Collins Hinton. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Fay Tiner Hinton, Waynesboro, MS; son, Michael Joseph Hinton, Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Kristi Lynette Wright (Lee), Millry, AL; grandson, Connor Logan Wright, Millry, AL; granddaughter, Kaylee Grace Wright, Millry, AL; aunt, Betty Sue Collins Cannon, Houston, TX; two brothers-in-law, Timothy Tiner, Gautier, MS, Leonard Jones (Pat), Waynesboro, MS; four nephews, Michael Shaw (Christy), Shane Tiner (Jaimie), Nathan Tiner (Chrissy), Chantley Gatlin; three nieces, Miranda Jones McLain (David), Layla Jones Burns (Grant), Tyla Gatlin Hutcherson.
