Mr. James R. "Beartrack" Anderson, 84, of Heidelberg, MS passed from this life Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Athens, GA on Friday, March 8, 1940, to Andrew D. and Lucille P. Anderson. Mr. Anderson served in the United States Army. He was a member of Lee's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. He retired as a Land Research Agent for Texas Instruments Geophysical Services Incorporated.

Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his first wife, Nan L. Anderson; second wife, Tommie S. Anderson; parents, Andrew D. and Lucille P. Anderson; son, Michael G. Anderson: granddaughter, Emily Gatlin; great granddaughter, Shaylene Gatlin; 4 brothers; 4 sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Vivian Gatlin (Joe) of Shubuta, MS; two sons, Tony Stiles (Tina) of Heidelberg, MS and Brian K. Stiles (Misty) of College Station, TX; brother, Tim Anderson of Center, TX; sister, Helen Keyes of Waynesboro, MS; nine grandchildren, Grant Gatlin (Caity), Gabi Gatlin, Makenna Gatlin, Justice Pitts, Brock Stiles, Ryder Stiles, Presley Stiles, Jonathan Windham (Tessa), and Shane Windham (Teaira); five great grandchildren, Niall, Anna, Griffin, Barrett, and Parker; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Anderson will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2024, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Bay Springs, MS with Rev. Bill Myers officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Bay Springs, MS. Pallbearers are Bruce Strickland, Dwain Strickland, Tim Dyess, Eddie Keyes, Brock Stiles, Ryder Stiles, and Niall Gatlin.
