Mr. J. D. Rogers, Jr., 65, of Millry, AL passed from this life Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile, AL. He was born in Millry, AL on Tuesday, June 17, 1958, to the late J. D. Rogers, Sr. and Carrie Lee Rogers. He retired as a meat cutter at Ramey's Pic-N-Sav in Jackson, AL. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his parents, J. D. Rogers, Sr. and Carrie Lee Rogers, sister, Louvenia Powe. He is survived by his wife, Heidi Cranford of Millry, AL; two sons, Miguel Rogers of Quitman, MS, James Cranford (Megan) of Millry, AL; six brothers, Kenneth Rogers, Robert Rogers, Chester Rogers, John Rogers, all of Millry, AL, Albert Rogers of Whatley, AL, Tyron Rogers of Demopolis, AL; three sisters, Catherine Long of Mobile, AL, Janice Kennon of Chatom, AL, Mae Rogers of Millry, AL; three grandchildren, James Colt Cranford, Henry Cranford, Alvontae Owens. Visitation for Mr. Rogers will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS.
