Rev. Isham "Sonny" Scarbrough, Sr., 86, of Barlow, AL passed from this life Monday, November 13, 2023, at his daughter's residence in Millry, AL. He was born in Millry, AL on Wednesday, December 9, 1936, to the late DeVoid and Mattie Scarbrough. He retired as a boilerman at Ciba-Geigy Corporation in McIntosh, AL. Rev. Sonny preached the gospel of Jesus Christ over 25 years leading many people to Christ.  Rev. Sonny is preceded in death by his first wife, Mae A. Scarbrough; parents, DeVoid and Mattie Scarbrough; two sons, James Isham Scarbrough, Jr., Buford Scarbrough; daughter, Gloria Scarbrough; brother, Willard Scarbrough. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Scarbrough; daughter, Susan Goldstein; brother, Bennie D. Scarbrough (Vickie), all of Millry, AL; four grandchildren, Jabin Goldstein (Chelsea), Rebekah Duvall (Drew), James Scarbrough (Sarah), John Scarbrough (Shelby); seven great grandchildren; three stepchildren, Janit Williams (Steve), John Carter (Renee), Janger Smith (Donald); a host a step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Visitation for Rev. Sonny will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Barlow Chapel Community Church, Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Barlow Chapel Community Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Jerry Taylor, Rev. Jojo Weaver, and Rev. Ronnie Morris officiating. Interment will be in Barlow Cemetery in Millry, AL.
